Does Time Affect Crazy Time?

Published: Mar 20, 6:36 pm

It is one of the most asked questions we receive. Does the day of the week or the time of day affect the outcome of the wheel? Many players believe that large wins only land when fewer players are playing or that bonus games dry up on a weekend when more people are playing. We have collected a huge amount of sample data, 463,765 spins in total to be precise so we have a very accurate set of results. Let's have a look at the data and see if there is any truth to the rumours.

Crazy Time Data By Day

Firstly let's look at the day of the week and see if anything looks out of the ordinary for each of the bonus land results, all data  is in UTC time which is the most common for Europe:

From this data set we can see the results split out for each day along with the total average for all days and the theoretical average. Over enough samples we would expect all data to match the theoretical average. We can see that all of this data looks correct and no day is sticking out with any anomalies.

Thursday currently has the most 1 segments landed and Sundays have the lowest amount of Crazy Time bonuses so far. You can use the data table above to see all of the exact results.

Crazy Time Data By Time

Secondly let's have a look at the same data results split out by each hour and see if there is any specific segment that looks abnormal:

This data set looks very close to where the values should be but has more volatility to it due to the data being split over a wider set of averages. The lowest amount of bonuses have come in within the 1pm-2pm time frame and the most bonuses have come within the 4pm-5pm area but the values are very close.

There are usually a lot more people playing during later hours on Crazy Time so the rumour that bonuses land more often when more people are playing is definitely false.

Crazy Time Large Wins

We also looked at data where wins were only over 999x (including top cash hunt and crazy time bonuses) to see if there was any pattern related to when they arrived. This was a much lower amount of samples (248 spins) so the data was a lot more volatile. Here is the data:

Sunday: 40 Results
Monday: 34 Results
Tuesday: 30 Results
Wednesday: 38 Results
Thursday: 29 Results
Friday: 35 Results
Saturday: 42 Results

Conclusion

The data sets we have collected look extremely close to the theoretical averages. We don't see any anomalies across any of the data that would suggest the wheel acts different on certain days or when more or less people are playing. The results from the wheel don't seem to change based on any external factors from the data we have collected.
